My music connoisseur friend over at music blog HipHop/R&B world has put together what he says are the 25 best hip/hop and R & B records of 2013.

Here’s what he had to say

2013 certainly didn’t disappoint when it came to the great music dropped in the last 12 months. One thing we saw a lot of this year was the heavyweights making their presence known and proving they can still make music while also maintaining their presence in today’s climate.

From Justin Timberlake’s comeback to music after his lengthly hiatus with THE 20/20 EXPERIENCE, to Kanye West’s controversial YEEZUS, to Beyonce’s self-titled surprise album, with her husband JAY Z’s MAGNA CARTA HOLY GRAIL, all the way to Eminem’s strong effort on THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP 2, the current heavyweights definitely came strong this year.
