Nigeria Broadcast Commission Suspends Ban on 2Face, D’Banj, Wizkid, Banky W, Rihanna & Others

Remember when NBC banned everyone from Rihanna to Miley Cyrus to Wizkid & Davido back in early December 2013?

After weeks of back & forth talks, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has temporarily lifted the ban and ordered the Broadcasting Society of Nigeria (BON) and the Independent Broadcasting Society of Nigeria (IBAN) to lift the ban imposed on all Nigerian artistes registered with the Copyrights Society of Nigeria (COSON) and begin the airplay of the affected artiste’s songs.

Some of the banned artistes were Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Asa, 2Face Idibia, D’Banj, Banky W, Wizkid, Onyeka Onwenu, Iyanya, Olamide, Flavour, Ruggedman, Waje, Ice Prince, Dr Sid, Olamide, 9ice, M.I, eLDee, to name a few.

Some of the affected artistes like 2Face Idibia & Banky W have taken to twitter to express gratitude for the the ban being lifted

Rihanna & Miley Cyrus have not said anything about the NC ban though…
