The Police Command of Gombe State confirmed on January 1, 2014, Wednesday that a gang killed two persons and injured one in Ceceniya quarters of Gombe.
DSP Fwaje Atajiri, Command’s Spokesperson, who briefed the newsmen in Gombe, said that the attack took place on Tuesday at about 11.45 p.m.
DSP Atajiri said that a group of criminals assaulted and murdered their victims in Gombe metropolis with various dangerous weapons.
He described the incident as unfortunate, calling on the public to always report suspicious movements.
The spokesperson also promised a reasonable reward for anyone who could provide the police with information on the criminals.
He further noted that the investigation is under way, but no arrests have been made so far.
