One would think that after being the butt of many jokes,they would deem it fit to check themselves and work on their flaws instead they have gone from bad to worse.
The list of possible captions for this movie poster is endless, Orisa Obama, ija Obama, etc, One would wonder what advertisement tactic the marketers came up with using the picture of a powerful leader like Obama as a poster boy for their low budget movie,what's worse is the fact that he was degraded in the poster. He is shown to be lighting a cigarette and adorned with local beads,dressed in native doctors attire,this is the height of disrespect.
What Nigerian movie makers don't know is with a picture like this,they are liable to get sued for "Defamation of Character"but they just act like dumb entities,all for the sake of producing a movie. The fact is most of these movie producers lack the basics to make a standard movie let alone a quality one,the resources spent on degrading the Presidents picture could have been spent on other meaningful things to be used in the movie.
Truth be told, Nigerian filmmakers need proper Orientation and lectures from their American counterparts because even the american movies made in the 80s are way better than these low budget trash. If this were to be brought to Pres. Obama's attention,it would only lend credence to his notion of Nigeria as being a backward Country.
There really is no excuse for this "abominable act" or Probably if it gets to Pres. Obama's attention,there might be an intervention and infusion of Cash into Nollywood. we just hoping and praying President Barack Obama find this as amusing as we do over here.
